Will we race?

The corona pandemic has hit the motorsport industry hard, and I don’t know yet if I will be doing any races this year.

The plan was to race a partial season in the NLS Championship (former VLN) at the Nürburgring with our Audi TCR-car. But the first races this spring were cancelled, and even though the NLS-season now has started, it is still unsure if we are going to race or not. An important factor in our team is to bring guests to the races, and we have usually around 40 guests on site. Without guests it is still uncertain if we can drive or not, so we just have to see how this fluid corona situation is developing.

Luckily, I’m fine about it. I have been racing since 1992 and on the Nürburgring since 2005 and I will survive a period without racing. I have actually been doing some driving at home also. First I testet Per Støldal’s Audi TT which he races in the Norwegian GT Championship to help him out with the setup, then I did some karting practice and I have tried out some iRacing with both our TCR-car and an Audi R8 GT3-car.

Other than that I have been busy with family and work. The F1-season is finally on, and that’s really good. We have started a podcast and I have been working flat out in my job as the sports director of the Norwegian Automobile Sport Federation and in my PR-company Ribalta.
